Recently a long time friend from my home town up in Canada told me that her mother was running for the mayor of Vancouver, British Columbia.
I have read stories about Betty Krawczyk's fights with the logging companies up in British Columbia. Betty is an activist in every sense of the word and she doesn't sit on her laurels. She has been thrown in jail more then once because she wouldn't back down for what she believed in. She's a strong and admirable woman who has really made a difference. She is a fighter for the rights of nature and people.
I say go Betty, win this political place in BC's history and really make it a Green place to live.
